May Day Mayhem at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm!
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm will be hosting a day of mayhem to celebrate May Day on Monday 4th May. The May Day Mayhem event will be packed with fun-filled, traditional activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
Morris dancing will be the main event with the popular Rag Morris Dancing Group performing in the morning. Events Officer, Sammi Luxa, tells us more: “We are delighted to have the Rag Morris dancers here to help us showcase a traditional May Day. The day promises to be lively, colourful and fun. We would like all our visitors to join in by wearing colourful clothes and taking part in the activities and competitions”.
During the afternoon there will be garland making where visitors will be able to make garlands from traditional material and decorate with flowers or leaves from the zoo depending on the style they wish to create. There will be a May Day Competition with a chance to win a keeper experience and discover what it’s really like to be a zoo keeper.
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm will also be visiting the North Somerset Show on May Day. There will be a chance to meet some of our animals up close with animal handling and keeper talks. Noah’s Ark will be in the Rural Family area all day.
Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm is open Monday - Saturday 10:30am – 5:00pm and closed on Sundays.
