This year the 'so say' January sales have started in December. Some stores began knocking down their prices on christmas eve. John Lewis started their sales on their website at 6pm on Christmas Eve!

People have spent their boxing day queing up outside shops like River Island, a que of around 300 people was said to have formed awaiting the shops opening at 11am.

What with many retailers tempting their customers with 50% off, 70% off and even superdrugs 90% off, it seems the desperation to get people to spend their money is high, but people seem to be responding and parting with their cash.
