Bristol International Balloon Festival 2009
Thursday the 6th of August until Sunday the 9th of August 2009

Since 1978 the famous Bristol International Balloon festival has grown from strength to strength. This annual event provides a long weekend packed full of entertainment, which brings attracts thousands for visitors.
If you are visiting Bristol this August for the first time the we recommend you mark this event in your diary.
The Met Office has predicated a long hot summer with plenty of sunshine which is ideal for such a fun weekend.
The Where In Bristol team fully recommend the Bristol International Balloon Festival.
The main highlights include:
- Balloon flights twice a day, around 6am and 6pm (weather permitting).
- Balloon glows (usaully around 9pm Thursday and Saturday).
- Theme Park rides.
- Flight show from the famous Red Arrows on Saturday, 8th of August.
The Balloon Fistival is hosted on the Ashton Court Estate.
Advance Parking:
Advance car parking tickets available online now at a discounted rate. Buying your parking ticket online also guarantees you a space during the festival. You conviently can print out your tickets at home from the Advanced Ticket website.
The specially assigned ‘Advanced ticket’ parking area at the Fiesta will be the Yellow car park. Access is at Gate 6 via the A370 Longashton bypass.
This year Motorcyclists will have assigned hard standing at Gate 6.
Campervan and minibus parking is also available, although overnight parking is not permitted.
