One of the UK's leading road races, now one of the largest and most popular half marathons in the country growing from 1,000 runners in 1989 to 15,000 places which now fill within weeks of the race launch. Whilst runners are not required to raise money in order to participate; it is hoped that most we either raise money for some of the 3 official charities, or for a charity of their choice.
The 3 official charities are:
Children's Hospices
UK Children's Hospices UK is the national charity that gives voice and support to all children's hospice services. www.childhospice.org.uk
St Peter's Hospice
St. Peter's Hospice is Bristol's only hospice caring for people with incurable illnesses, usually cancer, as well as supporting their families and children. www.stpetershospice.org.uk
COCO
A registered children's charity working on closely monitored education and healthcare initiatives that make a big difference to the lives of children living in poverty throughout the developing world. www.coco.org.uk
