The exciting new exhibition at Explore-at-Bristol, 'Eye for Colour' is a totally visual exhibition which will stimulate the mind, senses and imagination. Equally insightful for children and adults alike, Explore-at-Bristol is a perfect venue for a day of fun learning, or part of a Saturday out in the City. The current exhibition will allow you to discover how different cultures use colour to communicate, the importance of colour in the animal world for the likes of camouflage, in hiding oneself, and mating, displaying oneself. There is the opportunity to play 'colour detective' and discover the history of painting and how scientists have used knowledge of such to enable them t see how colour pigments have changed through time. You can learn why colours have been paired with moods, why are such colours such as red, associated with 'stop', 'danger' etc.
Eye for Colour runs until 21st March 2009 and is open daily in the week 10am-5pm (10am-6pm on weekends and bank holidays) so there is no excuse to miss out on this one.
